Collecting conflicts. Rethinking notions of the land and strategies of integration.Fragments, residues of architectures, new icons and old symbols of contemporary Italian landscape.

The project aims to reframe and underline the difficult incorporation between old and new spatial languages which coexist and shape the contemporary Italian landscape. If on the one hand it seems to be impossible to arrest the wave of concrete constructions and the wild expansions of suburbs, on the other hand many forms of tradition keep on stubbornly resisting, hidden in any corners of both big cities and little towns.

Also the exuberance of the natural element or the nostalgic ghost of its past glory sometimes seem to annihilate the intervention of man. That landscape hosts into his belly the constant fight between preservation and destruction of the past, awareness and distraction, reason and accident, need and profit.
